Professor Manoharan Mariappan (Dr. Mano) is a chemistry faculty at Department of Natural
Science, North Florida College where he started his teaching career since Fall 2017.

Before Dr. Mano joined NFC, he was a serious postdoctoral research scientist at various
universities around the US (University of Arizona, University of Georgia and Florida
State University) and Free University of Brussels (Belgium), i.e. from 1997-2006.

Dr. Mano served as a Chemistry Lab supervisor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry,
Florida State University (2006 -2008). Later, he became a chemistry faculty at one
of the HCBU institutes, Bethune-Cookman University where he served almost 9 years
(2008-2017) . Dr. Mano's vast knowledge in chemistry by his research as well as teaching
is quite helpful for NFC students to learn chemistry at high level and beneficial
to transfer to bigger Universities. Currently, he is committee member of Faculty Senate,
LMS-D2L committee, DRC (Disability Resource Center), and iCARE Mentor committee. Apart

NFC Chem Club in which his volunteer students are actively involved in this club and
gaining great knowledge of chemistry. The main goal of this chem club is to serve
for the college in Club Expo, Super Saturday, Kids in College Program, etc.

are well-reputed world wide, and he has been recognized in Chemistry field. Based
on his 30 years research experiences, he was offered to review numerous research papers
submitted to various journals (e.g. American Chemical Society, Elsevier, etc.) and
                                 Ph.D thesis from India.
