Agribusiness Management Faculty 9 Month

Summary

The Agribusiness Management Instructor will be responsible for implementation and development of the Agribusiness Management degree program at North Florida College. Duties include the instruction and retention of students enrolled in the program as well as placement activities to assist students with employment upon completion. The instructor will coordinate and implement the day-to-day Agribusiness Management program processes (to include marketing, recruitment, advising and monitoring of students); and evaluation and collection of data related to the program. The Agribusiness Management instructor will work under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Economic Development and Career/Workforce Education to ensure that program objectives are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Below are listed the primary tasks identified for this position. The duties articulated though not exhaustive, indicate the majority of the functions assigned to this position. Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.

  • Management of all courses to ensure that Agribusiness Management training meet the goals and objectives of North Florida College.
  • Perform as the lead instructor for the program, responsible for instruction and retention of program participants as well as their safety. Ability to work with and plan with other departments across campus, specifically Business Education.
  • Assist with the recruitment and scheduling of adjuncts, ensuring adequate program staffing levels.
  • Maintain active communication with, and develop the Agribusiness Management Advisory Committee, scheduling at least two meetings per academic year (Fall and Spring).
  • Assist with marketing and student recruitment for the Agribusiness Management degree program.
  • Research and implement needed licensure/credential requirements for students that are meaningful and recognized regional/national credentials and be willing to obtain same
  • Maintain student files, ensuring they meet all State and Federal requirements and be available for all State and Federal compliance audits

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A master’s degree in the field of study and at least seven (7) years of verifiable working experience in the field.

OPS Custodian (Part-Time)

Summary

This position is a Part-Time OPS position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of North Florida College. This position reports to the Custodial Supervisor, and as assigned no more than 25 hours per week. There are no benefits associated with this position.

  1. Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors.
  2. Washes windows as needed.
  3. Dusts furniture.
  4. Disposes of trash and waste paper.
  5. Cleans walks and assists in keeping outside premises in an orderly condition.
  6. Cleans and dusts offices, classrooms and hallways.
  7. Maintains bathroom facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous custodial experience is strongly preferred.

Other Personal Services (OPS) Employment is an employer/employee relationship used solely for the accomplishment of short-term tasks. To be eligible for OPS employment, an individual must not be filling an established position.
