Graduation Process

    1. Prior to applying for graduation, please see your Academic advisor, or Katie Terry, NFC Graduation Specialist, for a review of your records.
    2. The graduation application must be submitted by the posted deadline in the Academic calendar.
    3. If you wish to participate in our graduation ceremony you must order a cap & gown or student regalia. Some programs may not be eligible for participation. Please contact the graduation office for more information.
    4. While College credit certificates may be earned upon successful completion of coursework, some college credit certificates are not eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies. If an Associate level degree is the primary focus, a College Credit Certificate will be recognized at the time the Associate level degree is earned. Please reach out to the Graduation Specialist with any questions related to ceremony participation eligibility.

    Effective Spring term 2024, regalia rates are as follows:

    Cap & Gown Keeper unit

    (keeper unit consists of cap, gown, tassel, diploma cover, and honor cord if applicable)   

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing - $54
    • Associate in Arts - $47
    • Associate in Science - $47

    Tassel package available for those who already have an NFC Cap & Gown - $20

    Clock Hour Programs and College Credit Certificates $25

    (regalia consists of NFC polo, diploma cover, and honor cord if applicable)

    • Certified Production Technology
    • Commercial Vehicle Driver
    • Early Childhood Professional Certificate
    • Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC)
    • Human Services Generalist
    • Industrial Machinery Maintenance
    • Welding

    Practical Nursing & Nursing Assistant $ 14 (candidates will wear scrubs)

    (includes diploma cover and honor cord if applicable)

    Public Safety Programs $14 (candidates wear their class uniform)

    (includes diploma cover and honor cord if applicable)

    • Emergency Medical Technician
    • Emergency Medical Responder
    • Paramedic
    • Correctional Basic Recruit
    • Law Enforcement Academy & Crossover

    Order graduation regalia using this form. The form must be submitted to the Graduation office no later than the deadline posted in the academic calendar.

    The Fall Commencement ceremony will be December 12, 2024, at the Van H. Priest Auditorium on the campus of North Florida College.

    The Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for May 6, 2025.
